Black Basalt Toki with Koru Heart

A medium-sized Toki carved from New Zealand Basalt Stone.

The toki, or adze, is a symbol of strength. The adze was a key survival tool, so the owner of a good one was believed to be strong and powerful ....and this is a good one!

This beautiful Toki has a Koru carved into its side - this symbolises fresh beginnings, a new start - the perfect pendant for someone taking on new challenges

Traditionally, the toki is worn to provide strength and courage to assist through life's challenges, and the koru is a symbol of rebirth, growth and new beginnings.

Please note - the photo shown worn and in the hand are for size reference only.

We provide this on a hand plaited adjustable cord and will also include our 'Kia Ora' cards, explaining the meaning behind the toki and koru design.
