This is a beautiful 'one-off' piece carved by Kyohei Noguchi. The body of the manaia is carved from a beautiful piece of sperm whale jawbone. The grain is nice and fine, and the colour is a beautiful cream. This is a solid and visually imposing piece that will be perfect for the right person - someone who appreciates traditional design and fine craftsmanship.
