STARLIGHT - handmade Mother of Pearl, Opal and Sterling Silver Pendant.

STARLIGHT is a gorgeous pendant, handcrafted by jeweller Michel Girardin. Michel comes from a long line of Swiss jewellers and learned his craft within the family tradition. His formal training was at La Chaux-de-Fonds Art School in Switzerland. 

Front and centre, a vibrant Australian Opal sits directly on the face of a polished Mother of Pearl base. The opal's vibrant colour and the pearl's soft, shifting glow work side by side, contrasting and complementing each other.

The sterling silver finding that holds the chain is where the artisan's skill really stands out. It is finely decorated with a delicate spiderweb-like pattern, so intricate that it feels light and airy. This detailed metalwork takes real patience and steady hands.

What makes STARLIGHT exceptional is how all these elements come together. The careful stone-setting, the precise filigree, and the thoughtful pairing of materials reflect Michel's creative design and his unwavering attention to detail. It is a beautiful piece, made by someone who genuinely knows his materials and respects his craft.
