STAY TRUE are beautiful hand carved, dark hardwood Toki.
These are larger pieces, each a little different in shape and size, but all beautiful! STAY TRUE are really quite elegant. They can be worn by anyone who likes beautiful, natural wood and the toki design.
The toki, or adze, is a symbol of strength. The adze was a key survival tool, so the owner of a good one was believed to be strong and powerful. They were used to carve ocean-going waka (sea canoes) and to build central meeting houses so they played a central role in traditional life of māori.
The toki is traditionally worn for strength and courage - to assist through life's challenges.
Note: The Black cord with Pohutukawa Red Binding is a smaller sized Toki. The size of this Toki is 56mm (2.2") long, 27mm (1") wide.
