NAVAJO - a hand made Toki pendant filled with creativity and craftsmanship.
Hand carved for us by Yannis Petzold this is a beauty! Crafted from an eclectic range of materials and with a level of craftsmanship that we rarely see.
The toki is carved from recycled Lignum Vitae wood - a hard and wonderfully grained timber. The inlay is (from bottom to top) New Zealand Cold Water Pāua Shell, American Turquoise and Afghani Lapis Lazuli. These inlays are surrounded with the finest brass skirts.
Yannis has also added a 7,5,3,2 pathway created with little Sterling Silver points representing genealogy.
It is provided with a fixed length, spiralled cord in Dark Brown - hand made for this piece. The closure is a loop with a Pāua Shell toggle.
The different stones used in this piece are a gorgeous trinity of different blues from deep, eye popping and fascinating.
NAVAJO - named to acknowledge the American Turquoise and in recognition of the gorgeous, varied shades of blue in each of the inlays.
It has clean lines, is super smooth in the hand and is exquisitely made. The level of skill required to make a piece like this is remarkable, and something we don't often find.
