BLAZE
In stock
We love the shape of this piece. It is raw and unadorned - a fabulously strong pendant that is quite wonderful.
BLAZE is carved from Marsden Flower Jade - with a wonderful variation in colour producing a marvellous result. Slip it over your head and you'll have a strong piece of wearable art.
Carved by RIC MOOR this toki is a beauty and will appeal to those of you who like tradition with a twist! The quality of the workmanship and design is what you would expect from Ric.
The neck cord is a 4-plait beige which can be adjusted with a couple of slip knots.
The toki, or adze, is a symbol of strength. The adze was a key survival tool, so the owner of a good one was believed to be strong and powerful. They were used to carve ocean-going waka (sea canoes) and to build central meeting houses so they played a central role in traditional life of māori.
The toki is traditionally worn for strength and courage - to assist through life's challenges.
We also include one of our 'Kia Ora' cards, which explains the meaning behind the Toki design.
Delivery with Express Courier is included in the price.
