NEW ARRIVAL
GENTLE ANNIE - A WINDING ROAD THROUGH THE BACKCOUNTRY...
Handcarved by Ric Moor. This koru is carved from a deep green piece of New Zealand pounamu - New Zealand jade or greenstone. This particular stone is called Marsden and is some of the finest carving jade found in New Zealand. It is a super clean stone that has a beautiful consistent colour with very few inclusions in the stone.
We've named this piece GENTLE ANNIE after a stretch of remote road that connects the central North Island with the East Coast. It's isolated, windy, bush clad and beautiful! This is a remarkable piece of wearable art inspired by a remarkably beautiful stretch of road - well worth travelling if you get the opportunity.
Take a look at the video - it is a very brief clip that shows the pendant slowly rotating. This gives a very clear picture of the jade and the carving's shape and form.
Worn either side it looks fantastic!
We will ship this pendant to you with DHL Express Courier on a four plait brown, adjustable cord. We will also include our 'Kia Ora' card which explains the meaning of the koru.
