QUINTUS - FIFTH
Carved for us by Ross Crump, QUINTUS is a wonderful contemporary koru pendant. Ross has used a very clean piece of New Zealand Inanga jade, stone that allows a skilled carver to produce the fine detail seen here.
It is a large design, a visually powerful piece, with five unfurling koru florets. The inspiration for this design is the birth of a young fern frond - delicate new growth with the promise of something beautiful on the way!
A beautifully balanced and very finely carved piece of jade jewellery. Backlit, light flows through the florets and stems to varying degrees reflection the delicate nature of new life.
The best way to appreciate this piece is to watch the very short video we have taken of it slowly rotating. This is an eye-catching, substantial piece of jewellery, and perfect if you love bold, striking art designed to wear.
The Koru, represents a young, unfurling fern frond opening and bringing new life and purity to the world. It also represents peace, tranquility and spirituality, along with a strong sense of growth or new beginnings.
We ship this to you on a four plaited black adjustable cord and will also include one of our 'Kia Ora' cards, which explains the meaning behind the koru design.
Shipped to you with DHL Express Courier.
