A traditional Hei-Matau made to be worn and enjoyed in your HAPPY LIFE.
This matau pendant was carved for us by Ric Moor. It is carved in a traditional design - a shape that we have seen in very old matau carvings, and with a traditional binding down the shaft. A beautiful and classic piece of carved art.
The jade is a wonderful lush green pounamu. This is a rare jade loved and valued for its distinctive colour. The cord is a four-plait, adjustable brown coloured necklace.
HAPPY LIFE is a smallish sized carving, so can be worn by anyone. Ric is a craftsman and this piece is a great example of his carving talent. He has finished HAPPY LIFE with a soft polish that glows and is gorgeous to handle. Definitely a pendant to wear all the time.
