Gorgeous, small floret shaped pendant, hand carved from beautiful rare New Zealand Flower Jade.
The Koru: the Māori word for 'loop'. The spiral shaped koru design represents an unfolding silver fern frond. The circular movement towards an inner coil refers to ‘going back to the beginning’. The unfurling frond itself is symbolic of new life, new beginnings, hope and rebirth.
This is carved from the most wonderful, AND INCREASINGLY RARE, flower jade - a lovely earthy green merging into a beautiful milky mint. Take a look at the video - you will see that this piece has real form, Ross has carved it with depth in the body, so although it is a small piece, it has heft and is quite unique.
This pendant looks fantastic whichever side you choose to display.
We have ONE only of these stunning little koru.
Take a little time to view the photos and the video to appreciate the complex shape and stunning flower jade.
We deliver this beauty on a plaited olive green adjustable cord and will include one of our 'Kia Ora' cards, explaining the meaning behind the koru design.
