A marvellous, organic Manaia that really is all about the beautiful stone - a visually striking piece carved from deep, dark green jade.

MANA WITHIN was carved for us by Ross Crump and is a beautiful piece. He predominantly carves freeform pieces and is a master at utilising the natural beauty in any given piece of New Zealand jade. He has worked his magic again with this one, that's for sure!

Take a look at the video to see the shape of the pendant and the nuance in the colours in this piece of jade. This is original and unique, it is a gorgeous shape to wear and hold - a travel companion like no other!

There are two major design elements in this piece:

The Manaia: a mythical being believed to be the invisible light, or aura, surrounding a person. They represent spiritual power and are believed to be the guide that leads the spirits to heaven. They are worn to guide and protect.

The Koru: the Māori word for 'loop'. The spiral shaped koru design represents an unfolding silver fern frond. The circular movement towards an inner coil refers to ‘going back to the beginning’.  The unfurling frond itself is symbolic of new life, new beginnings, hope and rebirth.

Provided on a khaki/pohutukawa red, adjustable cord with pohutukawa red floret. We will also include our 'Kia Ora' card, explaining the meaning behind the Manaia and Koru design.

Shipping with DHL Express Courier is included in the price.
