Experimenting with new materials - introducing our NEW Marlin Bill Fearless Toki pendants. We've dressed these Toki up with some beautiful binding - each piece is unique.
As an adornment, the Toki, or Adze, is said to bring courage and strength in times of adversity. It is a symbol of courage and strength in times of adversity and is often worn by Maori elders as a symbol of power, wisdom and authority.
Maori believe that carvings carry the spirit of those who wear them, becoming an important family Taonga (treasure) passed on to future generations of the family as an heirloom.
We have 3 unique binding colours:
- Flax - this is a natural pale tan colour - code: F and F1 (back view)
- Wapiti - a beautiful dark brown - code: W and W1- SOLD
- Kelp - a seaweed green colour - code: K and K1
Let us know in the comments field at checkout which coloured binding you'd prefer.
This pendant is delivered to you with international airmail and will have a 'Kia Ora' card which will provide you with a little bit of information on both the Toki/Adze and Koru design and its meaning. All of these are on adjustable cords so you can position them wherever you choose.
