This hei-matau is carved from New Zealand Marsden jade - a superb piece of very consistent, dark green stone. Carved for us by Donna Summers, this really is a bijou! Very delicate handwork has produced a finely carved piece that can be worn by anyone. The dark green jade is offset with a beige cord and binding - the combination is quite beautiful.

The hook: The wearer of a Hei-Matau is seen as a provider and protector who is strong willed and determined to succeed in life - what a lovely sentiment to gift to someone important to you.
