This little Flower Jade Toki is a great way to kick off the sunny season (or help chase off the winter blues if you're up in the Northern Hemisphere)!
This is a beautiful, simple toki carved from our signature Flower Jade - gorgeous, colourful New Zealand pounamu.
The flower jade used for this piece is fabulous! A soft combination of colours - minty greens and lemony yellows rounding out with a touch of gold.
The toki, or adze, is a symbol of strength. The adze was a key survival tool, so the owner of a good one was believed to be strong and powerful. They were used to carve ocean-going waka (sea canoes) and to build central meeting houses so they played a central role in traditional life of māori.
This jade comes from the West Coast on New Zealand's South Island. It has been created in the alpine fault under extreme pressure and has been worked over in a fast flowing, steep river.
These pendants are traditionally worn for strength and courage - to assist through life's challenges.
We will ship this beautiful pendant to you with DHL Express Courier, with a hand plaited and adjustable cord.
