NELSON CHATOYANT
In stock
NELSON CHATOYANT - a band of bright lustre, caused by reflection from inclusions and the layering in the stone.
The stone Raegan has used for this Toki is exquisite - a gorgeous pale, striated blue/green diopside from the Nelson region in New Zealand's South Island. Wonderful stone and Raegan has utilised it beautifully for this piece.
NELSON CHATOYANT is a smaller sized, chunky Toki, hand carved and polished to a low sheen, a finish that really promotes the jade's colours and the chatoyant nature of this stone.
The toki, or adze, is a symbol of strength. The adze was a key survival tool, so the owner of a good one was believed to be strong and powerful ....and this is a good one!
Traditionally, the toki is worn to provide strength and courage to assist through life's challenges.
We include our 'Kia Ora' card explaining the meaning behind the Toki design.
Shipping is included in the price.
