THE GHOST - a beautiful piece of creative jade carving. THE GHOST is carved from a unique, and quite rare, jade from the Nelson region in the northern part of our South Island. This area produces pockets of jade that are quite distinct in colour and visual structure - this piece is a great example of this stone.
Tim has chosen the perfect design for this material - a beautiful Eagle Ray. We've named this piece THE GHOST because we could imagine it cruising the sea bottom - silent, mysterious and beautiful.

Take a moment to watch the video to appreciate the ray's form and the colour of the jade - it really is a remarkable, subtle piece of rare pounamu.
THE GHOST will be delivered to you on a hand-plaited, fixed length cord. We plaited the cord in a Maui Blue and Silver Grey - colours that are reflected in the stone.
This is a large, standout piece - it weighs around 60 grams. Despite the size it is a piece to wear, or to display and will become a family heirloom. Carvings like this are rare pieces of wearable art and are a real delight!
