Carved by New Zealand Jade Carver, Johnathan Percy - look at this intricate, superbly carved, koru pendant. This is a smaller piece that attracts the eye immediately - it is a wonderful, organic carving using a native and very rare snail as inspiration.
The koru is worn as a symbol of re-birth, growth and development. It represents the unfurling fronds of the fern, and is typically carved with delicate spirals and decorative swirls - this is a superb example.
Koru pendants are gifted and worn as an expression of personal growth, an awakening and rejuvenation. This is a very beautiful piece that beautifully reflects these sentiments.
