Poseidon - God of the Sea
The seahorse, or Hippocampus, has a long held a place in mythology and can be seen on coins and other ancient artefacts as early as the 6th century BC. Poseidon, the god of horses, earthquakes and the sea was often depicted driving a chariot drawn by seahorses so they became symbolic of strength and power.
Our seahorse pendant is beautifully carved with lots of detail. It captures the essence of these delicate sea creatures.
We will provide this with a hand-plaited waxed cord which is length adjustable so that you can position the pendant where it suits you best.
