A big bold toki carved from a beautiful, earthy green New Zealand jade. Polished to a matte sheen and beautifully bound with a four plait khaki green and tan cord, we've topped SAPIENT off with a perfectly lashed, khaki green binding!

As an adornment, the Toki, or Adze, is said to bring courage and strength in times of adversity. It is a symbol of courage and strength in times of adversity and is often worn by Maori elders as a symbol of power, wisdom and authority.
Maori believe that carvings carry the spirit of those who wear them, becoming an important family Taonga (treasure) passed on to future generations of the family as an heirloom.
