A small drop-shaped pendant with koru heart.
A lovely little pendant with a big meaning. The drop is a shape worn for comfort and to assist healing. The koru symbolises rebirth, new growth, peace and the love within a family.
What we love about this piece is its wonderful shape - the little koru is nestled in the cup-shaped front, and the back is slightly convex. It has a wonderful 'handle' - is great to hold and is a true reflection of the traditional values the drop is believed to convey - comfort and protection.
The Koru: the Māori word for 'loop'. The spiral shaped koru design represents an unfolding silver fern frond. The circular movement towards an inner coil refers to ‘going back to the beginning’. The unfurling frond itself is symbolic of new life, new beginnings, hope and rebirth.
Postage is included in the price and we will include one of our 'Kia Ora' cards explaining the meaning behind the Koru design.
We will send you this with either a hand-plaited cord, which is adjustable so you can position the pendant where it suits you best. Please use the drop-down menu to select the piece you would like.
