NEW ARRIVAL
SLIPWAY - carved from a rare and wonderful piece of translucent milky-green New Zealand Inanga Jade. We have bound the head of this toki in an Ice White, with a combination cord - Ice White/Wapiti Brown and Olive. We wanted to provide a binding that contrasts with the jade and visually connects our coastal waters and bush clad mountains - the colours in the cord.
This is a one-off piece carved from jade that we rarely see.
The toki, or adze, is a symbol of strength. The adze was a key survival tool, so the owner of a good one was believed to be strong and powerful ....and this is a good one!
This beautiful Toki has a Koru carved into its centre - this symbolises fresh beginnings, a new start - the perfect pendant for someone taking on new challenges.
Traditionally, the toki is worn to provide strength and courage to assist through life's challenges, and the koru is a symbol of rebirth, growth and new beginnings.
We will also include our 'Kia Ora' cards explaining the meaning behind both the Toki and Koru designs.
Delivered to you with DHL Express Courier.
