TAHA TINANA - Physical well-being
This is a wonderful large toki - a gorgeous piece of jade that looks great and feels great! We have named this TAHA TINANA because, for us, the connection with the stone and the design contribute to a sense of taking a stronger control over your destiny.
This Toki is beautifully bound and carved. Ric has utilised the Jade to its' best effect using the colours and shape to make a statement. A large and visually striking piece of art to wear!
The colouring varies considerably from front to back so you have a pendant that looks fabulous whichever side you choose to wear it. Slip it over your head and you'll be donning a stunning piece of wearable art.
TAHA TINANA is carved from New Zealand Jade. The quality of the workmanship and design is outstanding - this is a piece you will want to wear all the time.
We have suspended this from a 4-plait beige cord which can be adjusted with a couple of slip knots. TAHA TINANA is a beautiful piece of traditional jewellery and one that will last through generations.
The toki, or adze, is a symbol of strength. The adze was a key survival tool, so the owner of a good one was believed to be strong and powerful. They were used to carve ocean-going waka (sea canoes) and to build central meeting houses so they played a central role in traditional life of māori.
The toki is traditionally worn for strength and courage - to assist through life's challenges.
We also include one of our 'Kia Ora' cards, which explains the meaning behind the Toki design.
Delivery with DHL Express Courier is included in the price.
