WATERMELON - check this piece out. Hand carved from a really fascinating piece of New Zealand Flower Jade rind. It is a beautiful, even sandy orange colour. This stone would have come from a piece close to the outer edge, or rind, of the jade boulder. Surrounding minerals give the stone this colour - you have to love the diversity in our local jade!
The toki is a tribal symbol representing strength. It is designed to honour the adze which was used to build, fight, defend and played a important role in the daily survival of ancient tribes.
We deliver this pendant on a plaited and adjustable cord. We will also include one of our 'Kia Ora' cards, which explains the meaning behind the Toki design.
