A traditional koropepe - or mythical eel.
The koropepe is a spiritual creature that represents our journey back to the beginning of life. It is believed to represent our “Whakapapa”, or where we come from. Knowing this gives us the confidence to face future challenges.
The birds head symbolises our Guardian Spirit which will guide us and keep us safe on our journey through life. It is a symbol of youth, new beginnings and prosperity.
A fabulous gift for someone setting out in life, taking on new challenges. The head of the koropepe is believed to hold spiritual powers which guide and protect.
These two pieces have been carved from New Zealand Jade and polished to a beautiful sheen.
