Description

ANCIENT EMBRACE - made from woolly mammoth tusk pieces which we have hand cut and polished and set into a solid sterling silver bracelet.

This is a solid piece we designed to highlight the beautiful soft tones in the material and its marvellous grain. The tusk we've used for this piece is a very mellow pale ivory colour, with enough variation to make ANCIENT EMBRACE a delight to wear.

Ancient material inset in polished Sterling Silver - a beautiful and unique bangle.

The silver is buffed and 'rough' polished to give it a little character and leave the signs of the handwork evident.

ANCIENT EMRACE will be shipped packaged in a woven kete pouch.

The Mammoth Tusk used for this piece is CERTIFIED 34,690 YEARS OLD (+/- 815 years). All our Woolly Mammoth Art to Wear are provided with our certificate of authenticity.

We had our mammoth material carbon dated to get an accurate measure of its age. The testing was done for us by GNS Science, a New Zealand Crown Research Institute and New Zealand's leading provider of Earth, geoscience and isotope research - so their assessment of this material is as accurate as is possible using radiocarbon dating technology.
