BEHIND THE MIRAGE - where the sun meets the land

This is a cracker of a toki! The jade is gorgeous - predominantly a pale sandy orange with splashes of light green! It reminds us of the sun striking a bush-fringed ridge. 

You have too look twice to see BEHIND THE MIRAGE

This toki is carved from a lovely and striking piece of jade with a soft polish finish. To contrast and complement the subtle shades of green and orange in the stone, we've bound it with a beautifully plaited Kahaki Cord and a very bold 'Nacho' orange Binding. 

The toki, or adze, is a symbol of strength. The adze was a key survival tool, so the owner of a good one was believed to be strong and powerful ....and this is a good one!

Traditionally, the toki is worn to provide strength and courage to assist through life's challenges.

We include our 'Kia Ora' card explaining the meaning behind the Toki design.
