ENDLESS - hand carved by Kyohei Noguchi. A beautifully carved möbius ribbon in New Zealand pounamu. These are a difficult shape to carve and this is a little beauty!
A carved representation of the möbius strip - discovered by German mathematicians August Möbius and Johann Listing in 1858. The principle of this ribbon is that it has only one side and one boundary, it is non-orientable.
These carvings represent the many paths followed in life and love and are regarded as an eternity symbol.
This piece is finely carved by hand and is a beautiful, delicate pendant. Take a moment to view the video - this shows the fine carving and the subtle turns that are central to this very clever design.
Kyohei has finished ENDLESS with a soft polish, it glows but doesn't reflect and will take on a beautiful colour over time with wear.
We provide this pendant on a length adjustable cord.
