EVERGREEN

EVERGREEN is a large, full-bodied koru, carved from New Zealand Marsden Jade. A large, outstanding pendant!

EVERGREEN can be worn either side - one side has a darker shade of green than the other, so a little change to match your mood. A wonderful koru for lovers of Art to Wear!

This particular stone is called Marsden after the region the jade comes from. It is prized by carvers for its consistency and quality - artists like to work with this stone because it allows a lot of freedom to create and carve.

In skilled hands, some beautiful work is produced from Marsden jade - this is a wonderful example of 'carving to the stone'. Ric has produced a beautiful koru that is carved to best present the jade's natural attributes - the lovely variation in colours.

EVERGREEN is a lifetime piece, a pendant that we would like to think will be worn daily and remain in a family as a legacy piece.

Take a look at the video - it is a very brief clip that shows the pendant slowly rotating. This gives a very clear picture of the jade and the carving's shape and form.
