FAIR WINDS - hammerhead koru carved from New Zealand Kokopu Jade.
A large pendant by Aaron Marshall. In some cultures the Hammerhead is believed to protect swimmers and fishermen from the Great White! Here's a little guardian for lovers of the ocean...
FAIR WINDS - the best way to appreciate this work is to watch the brief video we have taken of it slowly revolving. Look for the spattering of orange inclusions throughout the stone - this is a broody and beautiful piece!
FAIR WINDS - a large piece made to be worn and displayed - the carving and the jade are both perfect. We love the subtle koru in the centre - it is carved with a real swing, curving back in on itself.
A little about the significance of the Koru....
The Koru: the Māori word for 'loop'. The spiral shaped koru design represents an unfolding silver fern frond. The circular movement towards an inner coil refers to ‘going back to the beginning’. The unfurling frond itself is symbolic of new life, new beginnings, hope and rebirth.
We provide this with a hand plaited Pacific Blue and Sage Green coloured adjustable cord. Also included, our 'Kia Ora' card, which explains the meaning behind the Koru design.
Delivery to you with Express Courier is included in the price.
