A two-tone bone koru pendant by Tonijae Brockway
Sleek, well designed and beautifully finished - this is a gorgeous and unique pendant.
Beautifully balanced and detailed, this is a gorgeous little koru carved in bone. The artist has coloured particular parts of the bone with a light brown stain. This provides a wonderful visual contrast of colours that accentuate the fine detail of the design.
FIRST LIGHT is a medium sized pendant and is provided with an adjustable length cord.
The Koru: the Māori word for 'loop'. The spiral shaped koru design represents an unfolding silver fern frond. The circular movement towards an inner coil refers to ‘going back to the beginning’. The unfurling frond itself is symbolic of new life, new beginnings, hope and rebirth.
Take a look at the video and you will appreciate the artistry of this beautiful piece.
FIRST LIGHT is lovingly packaged in a woven kete pouch. Also included our 'Kia Ora' card, which explains the meaning behind the Koru design.
