Tonijae has coloured particular parts of the bone with a light brown stain which gives creates a beautiful, subtle contrast. This draws your eye and delineates the two parts of the design - the lower white, feathered hook from the caramel brown head. The stain is a natural tea dye she makes for this purpose - natural and non-toxic!

Tonijae has left the stained bone matte and has polished the natural bone to a lovely sheen. This adds a somewhat ethereal appearance to this gorgeous piece of art.
