A toki/adze pendant carved in a natural white bone and polished to a beautiful finish. The Koru etched into the front face adds a traditional and beautiful contrast to the plain bone used for the toki, a highlight of Amanda's work.

LOVE WEAVE is provided with an Oat coloured, adjustable length cord and lovingly packaged in a woven kete pouch.

In this piece, the hammerhead design has two inward facing Koru, this symbolises family protection and guidance.

The hammerhead shark holds deep cultural and spiritual significance for many indigenous peoples of the South Pacific Islands. It is often revered as a guardian or ancestral being, symbolising strength, protection, and connection to the ocean. 

In some traditions, hammerhead sharks are considered sacred and are believed to embody the spirits of ancestors, playing a central role in myths, rituals, and ceremonies. Additionally, these communities have historically relied on sustainable fishing practices that respect the shark's role in the ecosystem, reflecting a harmonious relationship with nature.
