A slender and beautiful drop pendant carved from a recycled piano key - the wood is African Ebony. Artist: Yannis Petzold.
The Materials....
PIANOMAN is carved from a recycled piece of African Ebony - a silky smooth, deep chocolate black coloured wood, that is finished in a wonderful satin matte.
The inlay is a mixture of Paua Shell and Afghani Lapis Lazuli. The Lapis Lazuli is encased in a small circle of brass and the pāua is flanked with strips of solid silver. The craftsmanship is superb.
The neck cord is in its own right a little work of art! A hand plaited, spiralled cord in black that is a fixed length with a Paua Shell Toggle.
PIANOMAN has clean lines, is silky smooth and is exquisitely hand made by a fantastic New Zealand artist. He has carved this with the flair that his work typically shows and his craftsmanship is flawless.
