Description

TUNDRA SUNRISE - Woolly Mammoth Tusk and Brass Bangle

This is our finest / lightest mammoth tusk bangle - perfect if you're looking for a solid armband, but not too large or heavy.

The bracelet slips straight on and off the arm with no clasp. It is made of hand-carved woolly mammoth tusk pieces which we have set into a solid brass bracelet, and then lightly polished. We've selected pieces of tusk with a consistent grain and colour - but enough variation to make this piece a visual bijou!

The Mammoth Tusk used for this piece is CERTIFIED 34,690 YEARS OLD (+/- 815 years). All our Woolly Mammoth Art to Wear are provided with our certificate of authenticity.

We had our mammoth material carbon dated to get an accurate measure of its age. The testing was done for us by GNS Science, a New Zealand Crown Research Institute and New Zealand's leading provider of Earth, geoscience and isotope research - so their assessment of this material is as accurate as is possible using radiocarbon dating technology.
