VORTEX is a koru pendant carved for us by Yuri Terenyi in bone. It is intricately carved and very well made - a piece to wear all the time! VORTEX is a fabulous symbol of positivity and makes a wonderful gift for someone you love.

This pendant is carved from natural bone. Yuri has used his homemade tea dye to give this pendant a beautiful stained look.
Koru is the Māori word for 'loop'. The spiral shaped koru design graphically represents an unfolding silver fern frond. The circular movement towards an inner coil refers to ‘going back to the beginning’. The unfurling frond itself is symbolic for new life, new beginnings, hope, perfection, rebirth, a new start, awakening, personal growth, purity, nurturing, a new phase (in life), the spirit of rejuvenation, and peace.
