YOU'RE A HOOT - Hand Carved Deer Antler Owl Pendant

YOU'RE A HOOT - here's our tribute to the RURU - hand carved in deer antler.

In New Zealand we have a native owl - the Ruru. The Ruru is a night owl in the true sense of the word - they are small nocturnal hunters, often heard and rarely seen. We have brought them into the light with this little carving - a piece of New Zealand to carry with you always - YOU'RE A HOOT!

This is a bone figurine carved from deer antler, inspired by traditional carving techniques, and with a love for our local Ruru. It is a reflection of ancestry and the strength derived from where we come from and who we are. 

YOU'RE A HOOT is a beautifully carved piece which will appeal to all of you fascinated by traditional art, and a love of owls.

NOTE: we carve these in limited numbers from shedded deer antler. Each piece will vary little with natural changes in colour - this makes each piece unique!

YOU'RE A HOOT is lovingly packaged in a woven kete pouch and provided with an adjustable cord.
