THE LIGHTHOUSE

In stock

THE LIGHTHOUSE - a gorgeous, small toki pendant hand carved for us by Yannis Petzold.

This is a beauty! Crafted from an eclectic range of materials and with a level of craftsmanship that we rarely see.

The toki is carved from bone with an array of materials inlaid into the front face. The inlays are (from bottom to top) New Zealand Cold Water Pāua Shell, Recycled Lignum Vitae wood and New Zealand Pounamu (jade). These inlays are surrounded with the finest of skirts in Brass and Silver.

It is provided with a fixed length, spiralled cord in Dark Brown - hand made for this piece. The closure is a loop with a Pāua Shell toggle.

The different materials used in this piece are a gorgeous trinity of different colours - subtle, eye popping and fascinating.

It has clean lines, is super smooth in the hand and is exquisitely made. The level of skill required to make a piece like this is remarkable, and something we don't often find.

Take a few moments to watch the video - it reveals the beauty off the piece and will give you a little feel for the exceptional craftsmanship.

We will ship this stunning Toki in one of our kete pouches with our 'Kia Ora' card, which explains the meaning behind the Toki design.
