THE MEETING POINT is a medium sized, bone, Toki pendant with koru.

This toki is all about the journey – but with a wink. Two koru, one reaching from the top and the other from the bottom, curl toward each other like two people on a collision course with destiny. They’re about to meet in the middle, and you can almost feel the spark.

Amanda carved this from natural white bone, buffed to a warm, glossy sheen. The engraving pops against the pale surface, making the two koru leap out with playful energy. It’s light, elegant, and full of personality – a piece that says, “I’m on my way, and I’m bringing the fun.”

In this piece, the hammerhead design has two inward facing Koru, this symbolises family protection and guidance.

The hammerhead shark holds deep cultural and spiritual significance for many indigenous peoples of the South Pacific Islands. It is often revered as a guardian or ancestral being, symbolising strength, protection, and connection to the ocean. 

In some traditions, hammerhead sharks are considered sacred and are believed to embody the spirits of ancestors, playing a central role in myths, rituals, and ceremonies. Additionally, these communities have historically relied on sustainable fishing practices that respect the shark's role in the ecosystem, reflecting a harmonious relationship with nature.
