Hand-carved from rare blue-grey nephrite jade sourced from Nelson, New Zealand. This stone is renowned for its unique, and profound depth of, colour. From the Nelson region at the top of New Zealand's South Island, it produces a mesmerising interplay of light and shadow that evokes the serene beauty of the landscape it comes from.

The call of the ocean is etched into this rare stone. Let it find its way to you, or through you as a gift. It is made with the nomad in mind, the one who finds their rhythm in the roll of the waves.

Jade art carved for us by Kyohei Noguchi. The best way to appreciate this work is to watch the brief video we have taken of it slowly revolving. Look for the lighter coloured layering in the jade and the slight colour variations - these are the things that make this piece unique.

Legend has it that the whale has protected Māori journeying in their waka (canoes) which is why these symbols are often gifted to people undertaking journeys, or perhaps starting a new chapter in their lives.

The twist symbolises an unbreakable friendship, a bond that has no beginning and no end. It reflects the natural ebbs and flows that occur in any relationship without breaking the bond.
