Carved from New Zealand Argillite by Rueben Tipene
A spectacular piece of stone - a wonderful carving!
OHO is a large and expressive Toki, carved in a beautiful dark grey Pākohe, argillite stone.
OHO is a powerful piece of carved art. This is a toki that is made to be worn - it will wear and age beautifully. We have plaited a cord in colours that offset and complement the stone. If you'd prefer another colour cord, let us know and we can change this for you.
We have made a video which slows this piece slowly revolving. Take a moment to watch this, it reveals the beautiful design and the precise carving.
OHO is lovingly packaged in a woven kete pouch.
Traditionally, the toki is worn to provide strength and courage to assist through life's challenges.
The Koru: the Māori word for 'loop'. The spiral shaped koru design represents an unfolding silver fern frond. The circular movement towards an inner coil refers to ‘going back to the beginning’. The unfurling frond itself is symbolic of new life, new beginnings, hope and rebirth.
We include our 'Kia Ora' card explaining the meaning behind the Toki and koru design.
Delivery to you with Express Courier is included in the price.
