Welcome to a small collection of jade pendants carved by a very talented New Zealand Jade Carver and Artist - TIM STEEL

Hallmarks of Tim's work, first and foremost, are his jade carving skills. Every piece is flawlessly crafted - there is no evidence of the hard work required to shape a stone as tough as jade. Tim's attention to every detail is second to none, every piece is beautifully finished.

We also love the finish of his carvings. They are polished to a soft matte finish. Some have a silky feel in the hand - this completes the full sensory appeal of each piece.

TIM's BACKGROUND - from the artist's mouth...

I am an international award winning artist carving in a contemporary-traditonal style. I was raised in the coastal town of Pukerua Bay, New Zealand and am of Pākeha and Ngai Tahu/Kati Mamoe descent.

I create small sculptures and jewellery from hard stone and specialize in Pounamu and Onewa. My inspiration is derived from taonga/artifacts, natural and urban aesthetics of Aotearoa.
