GREEN BLIZZARD - a beautiful piece of New Zealand greenstone.
A sense for the stone, honest carving and beautiful jade are the heart of this pendant. It is large and solid and really a great version of the adze it is representing. The cutting edge is slightly cupped - you can see this in the video we have taken of it slowly revolving.

GREEN BLIZZARD has been polished to a soft matte finish, and we have bound it with our Black Cord and Mokohinau Blue Binding. Colours that are perfect for this particular piece of jade.
As an adornment, the Toki, or Adze, is said to bring courage and strength in times of adversity. It is a symbol of courage and strength in times of adversity and is often worn by Maori elders as a symbol of power, wisdom and authority.
Maori believe that carvings carry the spirit of those who wear them, becoming an important family Taonga (treasure) passed on to future generations of the family as an heirloom.
