ARCTIC PROTECTOR - Inanga Pounamu Manaia Pendant

Hand carved for us by Kyohei Noguchi, ARCTIC PROTECTOR is made from New Zealand Inanga jade.

ARCTIC PROTECTOR is a traditional Manaia design. In Māori culture, the Manaia is a guardian spirit, often worn to maintain a connection with ancestors. It serves as a tangible reminder to draw upon ancestral strength and wisdom when confronting challenges. This piece is a finely crafted example, made from a rare inanga pounamu. It is eminently suited for this purpose.

Take a moment to watch the short video we have made which shows the pendant slowly rotating. This will give you a very clear picture of the shape nuances and the colour of the stone - it's well worth the few moments it will take you to watch it.

The Manaia: a mythical being believed to be the invisible light, or aura, surrounding a person. They represent spiritual power and are believed to be the guide that leads the spirits to heaven. They are worn to guide and protect.
