BLUE MAGIC is a medium-sized toki carved from beautiful and rare aotea stone, its soft, misty hues lending ethereal beauty to the traditional adze form. The pendant is a solid and chunky piece, offering satisfying weight and presence that speaks to strength, determination, and connection to heritage.

This is a rare and very beautiful material found in limited quantities in New Zealand's South Westland.

The toki, or adze, is a symbol of strength. The adze was a key survival tool, so the owner of a good one was believed to be strong and powerful. They were used to carve ocean-going waka (sea canoes) and to build central meeting houses so they played a central role in traditional life of māori.

The toki is traditionally worn for strength and courage - to assist through life's challenges.
