MANAAKI - Generosity of Spirit

Twist pendant in New Zealand Pounamu, Jade.

Hand carved in a milky, semi-translucent piece of New Zealand Kawakawa jade. This is a wonderful pendant, handmade for us by Ross Crump.

Noteworthy on this piece (aside from the beautiful stone) is the elegant and simple design, and the outstanding polished finish - no-one can finish a polished piece quite like Ross!

The twist carving with its crisscross form represents the many paths of life and love and as such is regarded as the original eternity symbol. The single twist carving represents the joining together of two people for eternity. Its shape describes the way relationships shift, sometimes moving apart, but coming together as a couple share their lives.
