MANGROVE JACK - A traditional style hei-matau or hook pendant, hand carved in Red Jasper stone. 

The jasper itself is the focal point. Deep carmine, terracotta, and brick-red hues swirl organically through the stone. The polished satin finish yields a velvety, tactile surface that subdues the stone's natural gloss. This controlled sheen diffuses light and beautifully accentuates the complex colours in this wonderful stone.

This is a unique, standout piece which we have bound with a Dusk Cord and Plum Binding.

In New Zealand Maori tradition the fish hook represents prosperity, abundance, strength and determination and is also worn to show a respect for the ocean. Wear this amulet for safety when travelling, particularly over water.
