Turn it over to discover a hidden landscape: a satin-smooth expanse of deep, shadowy greens interspersed with delicate pale markings. This is an exquisite tribute to the natural majesty of New Zealand pounamu.

We have bound this with a black adjustable cord and a grass green ridge binding - practical and striking!

Much like us, each piece of Pounamu has its' own 'DNA', its' own structure and special features that make it unique. This provides challenges, and opportunities for the carver. This is where the artists' creativity must be matched with a technical carving skill - wonderfully achieved by Ric Moor in this piece...
