357 MAGNUM - a large sculptural knife carved from New Zealand pounamu.

This is an earthy tactile piece, beautifully balanced with sharp, clean lines - a lovely design that has been carved beautifully!

357 MAGNUM was carved by John Elson and reflects his fascination for working with stone and for hunting, passion that is reflected in his work. His background in engineering shines through in the outstanding quality of the craftsmanship. 

The blade is carved from solid New Zealand jade, it is slender and beautifully finished - this piece feels wonderful in the hand.

John is a keen hunter and introduced the top of shell cases as rivets securing the handle, a clever and eye-catching touch here!

This is an exceptional, small sculpture that we are delighted to have available for sale.
