ANTHONY BRAY-HETA

Anthony Bray-Heta is a contemporary New Zealand jewellery designer and carver, known for his unique and innovative use of materials and techniques. He was born in Titirangi New Zealand, where he started his career at age 15, carving/making jewellery under the guidance of Allan Nopera. He later studied jewellery making in the UK, casting with silver and gold.

Anthony’s jewellery designs are characterised by his use of rare, unconventional materials - whale bone, deer antler and other industrial materials. He often combines these materials with gemstones and paua, creating striking and unconventional pieces that challenge conventional ideas of jewellery.

His work has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout New Zealand and Australia, as well as in the United Kingdom and the United States.
