BLUE WHISPER - hand carved from mammoth tusk, an ancient material from the long extinct Woolly Mammoth brought back to life in these delicate little hand carved fern pendants.

These are a gorgeous blue colour with exceptional grain definition. The tusk has been stabilised with a coloured resin to protect the tusk and to accentuate the naturally occurring blue colour in the tusk. The addition of the resin will make these a lot more robust - so make this your daily companion!

The Mammoth Tusk used for this piece is CERTIFIED 34,690 YEARS OLD (+/- 815 years). All our Mammoth Tusk pieces come with our certificate of authenticity.

We had our mammoth material carbon dated to get an accurate measure of its age. The testing was done for us by GNS Science, a New Zealand Crown Research Institute and New Zealand's leading provider of Earth, geoscience and isotope research - so their assessment of this material is as accurate as is possible using radiocarbon dating technology.
